Poketron

A repairable computer, power bank and communications device built on open hardware.

Your kind of computer.

Start small, choose more power or use your own design. The computer is one replaceable part, so you can change or upgrade it later without replacing the rest of Poketron.

Connecting people.

Mobile networks, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth keep you connected every day. Long-range radio keeps your group in touch across kilometres, even off-grid.

Power to you.

A power bank that works independently of the computer and charges your other devices through USB-C. Its two replaceable standard batteries also power Poketron and recharge quickly.

Built to last.

No structural glue. The sturdy, screw-fastened case is designed to resist water and dust and opens for repair. Its batteries, electronics, controls, cables and exterior panels can each be replaced.

Everything you need.And then some.

Carefully specified.

Size
84 × 34 × 117.1 mm.
Compute
The STM32H743 application controller works independently. The modular compute bay can house a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, Compute Module 5 or a custom PCB.
Storage
Application-controller microSD logging, plus replaceable microSD storage for the computer.
Network
4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and LoRa, with eSIM planned.
Power
Two replaceable 21700-format cells, up to 30 W USB-C charging and protected power-bank output. The power system works independently of the computer.

Designed to resist water and dust, targeting IP67.
Radio
GNSS and LoRa are built in. A removable receiver-only SDR is planned for later FM and 42–1002 MHz reception.
Interface
E-paper status, NFC and two external USB-C ports. Four-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 base hub support is available for internal expansion. A SuperSpeed host can use 5 Gbit/s; Pi Zero 2 W operation is USB 2.
Sensors
Six-axis motion sensing plus a replaceable camera, light and microphone module.
Robotics
Designed for experimental ArduPilot-compatible robotics, with six-axis motion sensing and an internal flight-control expansion connection.
Construction
The screw-fastened case opens for repair. The batteries, electronics, controls, cables and exterior panels can be replaced independently, with no structural glue.
